About the Artist
Jessica Yirenkyi, aka Jess The Messenger (@jaydzignz), is a mixed-media visual artist and graphic designer based in the DMV area. She specializes in portraits, abstract art, and enjoys hosting community art events. Influenced by her Akan (Ghanaian) heritage, her recent works feature fabrics, metallic paint, and ink on wood panels, exploring themes of love, life, and indigenous cultural values. Jess is a member of Purple Line Studios in Riverdale, MD, showcasing her work alongside other local artists. Whether working on personal art or team projects, she brings high-level organization and excellence to all her endeavors, with the goal of empowering fellow artists in the community.
