About the Artist
Jill Jasuta became a professional photographer in a roundabout way – moving from writing to graphic design to photography. She is mostly self-taught in both design and photography, and she is always pushing herself to learn more and take on new challenges. Her passion lies in capturing the beauty and sense of place on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, where this New Jersey native has called home for 17 years. She heads out with her camera in the fog and snow, at sunrise and at twilight, and at all times in between to share the area’s intriguing landscapes, waterscapes, built environment, and wildlife.
Her work has appeared in various galleries and has been published in magazines and newspapers, including on the covers of Chesapeake Bay magazine, the State of Maryland Visitor Guide, and What’s Up Eastern Shore.
She and her husband Jim Duffy, who live in Cambridge, are the founders of Secrets of the Eastern Shore, a venture they began in 2014 to celebrate the Delmarva Peninsula in photos, books, greeting cards, and more.
