Julie Garvey

About the Artist

Frequently recognized for her many appearances on TV,Julie has appeared in over 50 regional TV commercials and shows including host of a nationally broadcast children's show on Fox network! She models professionally for numerous national product lines and has appeared in several movies including Ladder 49, Syriana, and National Treasure: Book of Secrets! Julie grew up in the theatre, where with her technical director mentor/father she participated in numerous productions at Galludet University. During that time she pursued and developed her passion for ballet, tap, jazz and modern. She refined her talents in both dance and technical theatre at Radford University, where she earned her degree in Dance. More recently Julie served as board member and co-director with the Severna Park Middle School Spartan Lyrical Society. As Treasurer she also applied her exceptional business management skills to assist in advancing the overall program. Of particular note, Julie is fluent in ASL.

Artist's Statement

Stage & Screen Studios, "The Coolest Performing Arts School in Town" raises the curtain on the new year with auditions for “Willy Wonka” The Musical (Saturday Feb 3, 2-5pm!) And, as enrollment in our popular On-Camera and Improv classes continues to increase, we are expanding our Guest-Artist Series following a successful launch featuring Hollywood Talent Sixx Orange. We are excited to announce upcoming intensive workshops in Stage Combat, Theatrical Dance and Shakespeare led by industry professionals. Founded by Julie Ann and Pete Garvey, Stage & Screen Studios provides awesome after-school master classes and workshops at a truly professional level. We offer unique opportunities for area students to immerse themselves in performing arts in ways typically found at a collegiate level. Our community is full of truly gifted actors, singers and dancers, and we look forward to working with them all in our productions, classes, workshops and summer camps.
