About the Artist

I love to create with color.  Making pieces that can be worn or that add color to a home or garden has always brought me great joy. When I was 10 years old my parents took me to see a glassblower.  Watching him transform a blob of molten glass into a finished piece immediately intrigued me and made me want to learn more about it.  Trying this art form went to the top of my bucket list.  Many years later I found Art of Fire and began taking lessons.  After 15 years of glassblowing I’m still learning new techniques, designing, playing with colors, and having more fun than I ever imagined.  My mom taught me to sew and my great-aunts taught me to crochet.  I'm happy to be able to build on the skills they gave me and create wearable art. I'm thrilled to share my work with people and talk to them about the processes used to create the varied facets of JD Art and Decor.
