About the Artist
Kaitlyn Brune is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator currently located in Baltimore, MD. Kaitlyn is currently finishing up her student teaching and is expected to receive her B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography, with a certification concentration in PreK-12 Dance Education, and a minor in Entrepreneurship in December 2024 from Towson University. Kaitlyn is a graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts, where she received two scholarships. Kaitlyn grew up in Brooklyn Park, MD, taking dance classes from a young age at her home studio, Jeanette's School of Dance, where she currently teaches and choreographs for the Ballet Company. As a member of the competition team, Kaitlyn competed from three seasons, receiving multiple platinum and judge's awards. Kaitlyn is currently a member of Meki's Tamure Polynesian Arts Group, where she performs and educates on the different cultural practices and dances of several Polynesian Islands. Kaitlyn has guest taught at a variety of studios, schools, and events in the Baltimore area, including for the Maryland High School Dance Showcase and for Towson University's Community Dance program.
