About the Artist

The majority of my photographs are taken at a family owned flower farm in the Agricultural Reserve in Laytonsville, Maryland. My photography is mostly of flowers from farms in Maryland and also from farmers markets in Maryland, Delaware and Washington, DC. I try to shoot pictures of flowers that are locally grown. I photograph flowers, foliage, grasses, fruits, berries and vegetables.

Artist's Statement

I work at a flower farm in the Agricultural Reserve in Laytonsville, Maryland. I am surrounded by so many beautiful flowers along with the ever changing colors and light in the fields. Most recently, my photos were on display at the Club House at Gibson Island and in St. Michael's, Maryland. My photographs are on exhibit at the Sandy Spring Museum in Sandy Spring, Maryland. Kathy Lynn Photography was awarded the Visitor's Choice Award from the 2013 Peony Photography Contest at the Gaithersburg Museum in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
