About the Artist

Kenya Raines - Creator. Artist. Hello everyone.  I'm a freelance artist and I work with acrylic and oil paint on stretched and textured canvas. My art mainly consists of bright and vibrant displays of black women and the cultural concepts that are involved in our everyday lives such as hair and style. Based out of PG County, Maryland, my artwork has reached people in the Baltimore/Washington D.C metro area, Detroit, MI, New York City, and other locations. My work is currently displayed in several prestigious collections, including the Director of the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts), Judge's chambers, and with other renowned curators.
