About the Artist
My work is influenced by nature, in particular woods and farmland. I am very interested in layers and detail which I explore in a variety of media. My favorite media is ink and while I sometimes use color, most of my drawings are black and white. I spend a lot of time in New Windsor Maryland and find the landscape, flora and fauna very inspiring. A short walk in the woods can give me inspiration for months. Overlapping texture and detail that I notice around me out in nature, will translate to overlapping pattern, symbols, wash, and detail in my drawings. I live and work dividing my time between Montgomery County and Frederick County,Artist's Statement
