About the Artist
Libby Formant is a visual artist from Baltimore, MD working mainly with acrylic paint, pen, and ink. Since graduating from University of Maryland, College Park, Libby has both produced artwork as a professional artist as well as curated exhibitions in pop-up, gallery, and small museum settings. Flowers in the Rain

The clouds in this painting were made when I was going through a difficult time. Some time later, I went back into this piece and added the flowers, each picked from my garden. While gardening literally is an enriching activity I added into my life over the years, the flowers also represent personal growth as well.
