About the Artist
Lior (they/any) is a 32 year old self-taught artist living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and coastal Delaware. They previously worked in ecology and public health, before undergoing a major life shift initiated by illness. At age 28, Lior faced sudden onset of disability and chronic illness and had to stop working. In the face of lots of time and bodily limitations, they decided to teach themselves to paint. Lior works primarily in watercolor, and is drawn to the elemental nature of water and the unpredictability of the medium. They like loud, bold colors with visible brushstrokes, granulation, and blooms. They are inspired by the natural world and the unseen realms, and see creation as a spiritual act.Featured Work
