"Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit."

About the Artist
I have been training and working PT as a metalsmith for the past 10 years. I am a psychologist in the process of transitioning to a career as a metalsmith. I work in bronze, copper, brass, and silver. I make jewelry and wish to move into metal sculpture as well. Metal forming is truly what I love to do. I am inspired by nature and strive to create flowing designs with the illusion of movement. I hope my work reflects the inherent beauty in life despite the physical and emotional struggles we all face on a daily basis.Featured Work
