About the Artist
Luenna Kang (she/her) is a Baltimore-based visual artist. Born in Korea, Kang developed her global background studying in Philippines, Minnesota, Chicago, and Baltimore. The overarching theme of her practice is "Body, Proximity, and Discomfort." She is particularly interested in female aging and bodily experience. Through art, Kang confesses how her female body experiences her surroundings. Her visual language reaches the audience raw and genuine, which is resulted from her honest approach to art. Although Kang says that her main medium is charcoal proudly, she does not limit her artistic language to drawing but expand it to sculpture, painting, printmaking, and installation art.Featured Work
