Lynne Streeter Childress

Performance, Theatre

Much of my career as an artist career has been built on how I can encourage people, especially young ones, to treat themselves and others better. I ask what problem I want to address or what joy I want to celebrate, then come up with ways to answer those questions artistically. That is how I design my programming, be it the shows I write or the workshops and residencies I create. The subject matter of my programs is based on wanting a more equitable and just world, and for participants in my programs to see that not only is that possible, but that they can be a part of.
