I am a self-taught artist who loves the freedom of just being myself without any limitations to one particular medium. My art is about sharing what is in my heart. I don't create to please the world, but I create to express and share myself with anyone who is willing to embrace it. Since I can remember, expressing my feelings and thoughts through my art has been very important to me. As sometimes in life words cannot describe how one feels, you have to feel it with your own heart. - Marianna" Original paintings and limited edition signed art prints are available to purchase in my art studio: Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower, Studio 702 21 S. Deja Vu
Oil on stretched canvas - Set of 3
2015
Deja Vu represent those feelings and thoughts what nearly everyone experiences in life....been there or done that before. I imagine thoughts and feelings spiraling around us, like an energy field and we catching them time to time and those little particles in the atmosphere gives us a feeling we been in that place or already had those feelings some other time back in our lives.
It's a twist on the middle canvas, what represent that moment when we realize the "deja vu", and the twisting lines represent the similar feelings we experienced now and before in our past.
I created this painting using palette knife, oil paint and Mica powder on three stretched canvas panels. The Mica powder is a very fine dust what gives an extra dimension to the artwork, and a different light source during the day gives a unique effect every time you look at the painting.

Original Oil on Canvas
2016-2017
I draw a self-portrait 30 years ago, in 1988 and I wanted to revisit and express those feelings and mix it with my current feelings, but this time I created the image using oil paint on stretched canvas and mainly palette knife. This painting is on display and for sale in my art studio in the Bromo Seltzer Arts tower on Eutaw Street, Baltimore, MD.
