Mark A Lohr

Multidisciplinary, Multidisciplinary Art, Performance, Theatre

My goal as an artist is to use my multifaceted art form to give the gift of laughter and create a multigenerational happy moment for families.

About the Artist

Mark Lohr New Vaudevillian Extraordinaire has trained in art of the Traditional American Circus Clown.  He performs without makeup and the large shoes of his trade but with all the zany antics of the roots of his profession.  His trade of silliness consists of some serious disciplines!  Acting, slapstick comedy, pratfalls, comedic movement, and acrobatics, juggling, hat manipulation, spinning plates, fire juggling and manipulation, stilt walking... a veritable smorgasbord of theatre and circus skills!  He has toured the USA with The Grorge Caden Circus International,  performed Hooked on Books in thousands of Schools, crossed the globe to perform in the International Kimtom Clown Festival in Shanghai Chana, and had shared the stage with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as part of their Family Theatre Series.

Hooked on Books! In the theatre assembly Hooked on Books, Mr. Jones, a mild-mannered “everyone,” sits down to enjoy some afternoon television. He is interrupted by a public service announcement informing him of the epic battle between TV and reading. Through trial and error, he learns reading is a fun, exciting way to gain new skills, see new places, meet new people, and experience more channels than any TV. In Hooked on Books, kids watch as Mr. Jones discovers a new interactive passion – reading!
