Meredith S. K. Boas

About the Artist

Meredith S. K. Boas (formerly Meredith S. Keating) is a life-long artist and arts advocate who comes from a long line of artists and entreprenuers. She has studied many artistic mediums, and has a bachelor's degree in Integrated Arts and four associate degrees in the disciplines of photography, graphic design and multimedia, video production, and visual communications. A strong proponent of arts education she believes in making the arts accessible for everyone, and in 2018 became the Organizer of Delaware Fun-A-Day, in addition to her 6 year role as Event Coordinator (and owner) of Cecil Con, a sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming convention. Having been born in Pennsylvania, raised in Delaware, and now married in Maryland, Meredith has strong ties to the tri-state area, and is actively involved in the arts and community of both New Castle County, DE and Cecil County, MD in particular. She is the owner of the award-winning multi-media studio Grunge Muffin Designs with her husband and business partner Brandon Boas, and they are members of the Newark Arts Alliance (in Delaware) and Cecil County Arts Council (in Maryland). In addition to her full-time client work she teaches arts-related workshops for adults, and arts related summer camps for kids and teens in both Delaware and Maryland. Artist's Statement

Meredith is a mixed media artist specializing in colorful, abstract art usually in the forms of watercolors, paintings, weavings, decoden, or combinations thereof.
