About the Artist
I have been perform puppet shows for over 30 years. My performances are geared to help children have fun and learn at the same time. I like to involve children my performances. For me puppetry is not just working with animated figures, performing puppetry is an extention of who I am. I often wonder if my ancestors were story tellers, or performing artists. I have a bachelors of arts degree in Religion and it was the worst degree a person could get. I could not even get a job after graduating from college selling cementary lots, so I did something that would help me utilize my degree and puppetry was the perfect fit. I have been performing unprofessionally since I was six years old.
I have to admit that after over 30 years of performing I did not become famous or have a television appearance. What has happend to me is that puppetry has put me on an amazing journey in life and I have learned so much. I have a traveling puppet theater entitled the Harvey & Sam Puppet Company. I have performed at Light City and Artscape.
