About the Artist

Maryland singer/songwriter Miles Gannett hears the seamless character of all music, blending and balancing bluegrass, psychedelic rock, earthy blues, and classic country. For 10 years, Gannett fronted the Baltimore band Fractal Cat, a local radio favorite that released three albums of original music and shared stages with talent from Cris Jacobs to Rising Appalachia. In 2021, Gannett released his first solo album, Meridian. Its fusion of acid rock with bluegrass is punctuated by special guests including Seldom Scene’s Fred Travers on dobro and Ron Stewart on banjo and mandolin. The album received praise from a variety of national publications. Grateful Web observed that “Gannett is making us rethink what it means to be an Americana artist.”
