In her latest pieces, Nancy O'D Wilson continues her explorations of color and touch, assembling found objects and old dresses into dimension-straddling sculptures. Vertical and vibrant, these padded pieces stretch Josef Albers' color theories into the tactile realm, climbing away from the endless modern tapping of hard plastic keyboards. Dresses are torn apart, assembled into three-dimensional constrcuctions, and built into old wooden ladders and chair-backs according to the rhythm of colors. The contrast of hard wood and soft fabric frames the relativity of color: "You need opposites."Featured Work
