I believe that music has the power to express the deepest emotions of the heart. This is why I sing, to give a voice to those who may not have one and to speak to the silent hearts.
About the Artist
Nazarene Maloney is a young artist who has dedicated herself to making her passion for classical music her career. During her primary and secondary education, Nazarene expressed a deep affection for music; specifically, singing. After earning her Associate’s Degree in Music from Prince George’s Community College, she continued on to Morgan State University where she flourished participating in Opera @ Morgan, with roles as Papagena (W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte) and Maria La O (Ernesto Lecuona's Maria La O). She participated in competitions such as the Opera Ebony Benjamin Matthews competition; in which she was named the Youth Artist winner. Following this success, Nazarene was invited to perform in the Harlem Opera Festival as one of 5 representatives from the Benjamin Matthews Competition in October 2022. Nazarene has earned her Bachelor's of Arts in Music, Vocal Concentration, and has her sights set on her Master's of Music in Fall 2023.Featured Work

I do not drive. I primarily use the metro and rideshare as transportation. Anything within Prince George's County that is metro accessible is ideal. Additionally, opportunities in the Hyattsville area are absolutely doable.
