About the Artist
Neela Mahmoud is a Baltimore-based artist and architect working in abstract painting. Her practice explores themes of energy, perception, and spatial continuity, informed by an architectural approach to form and structure. In her current series, she investigates movement, transformation, and the ways in which unseen forces are made perceptible. Her work evolves through an iterative process where sketches and finished pieces exist in dialogue.Featured Work

Within my studio , the series Signals and Frequencies have evolved in dialogue with one another - the works inform each other through relationships of form, color, and spatial tension. At the same time each piece holds its own inherent meaning within the larger context.
