About the Artist

Printmaking to Photography. Painting to Pastel Drawings. Discover found objects in a painting or that the painting was created using nontraditional materials such as wood stain on paper rather than oil paint on canvas. " I never want to tire people. I always want to keep their interest in my work so in my mixed media work I generally create layers of information to dive into. When I draw portraits I give the picture a sort of spirit that will speak to you. I try to capture the true essence of each person so you will want to keep staring at the paper. Every time someone looks at my work I want them to have a greater appreciation than the first time they saw it." -Nikia Kigler Nikia Kigler is from the small, rural city of Suffolk, Virginia.
