Artist's Statement

Photography allows me to capture and share with viewers the moments where I find my surroundings and myself perfectly balanced. A combination of space, texture, color, and light play a vital role in creating imagery that brings into perspective the magnitude of life and the importance of recognizing moments of unity between elements. Life is dependent upon the natural environment and I strive to share a portion of it with viewers through a combination of outdoor and nature photography, and digital manipulation. Emotional responses may differ and many senses may be provoked, as environments I capture and create are not only instants of calm, but curiosity and solitude as well. Through photography I am able to share moments where a sense of connection and appreciation for the natural environment are present. I hope to inspire the viewer to create a bond with their surroundings and appreciate the vastness of life and what a small part of it we are.
