About the Artist

MSACPamela Wilde received her first formal art training at the Chicago-based American Academy of Art in the early 1980s and holds a degree in Advertising Design and Illustration. Her early career was spent in Tacoma, Washington where she worked for the Tacoma News Tribune from 1984 to 1989. While employed at the Tacoma News Tribune she worked extensively in advertising design and editorial illustration. In the early 1990’s Pamela took a break from her professional aspirations to raise her family but continued to extensively grow and further expand her artistic horizons. Pamela began exclusively painting in oils in the mid-1990’s trading in her commercial graphic creative leanings to pursue fine art. Pamela has completed working on a one-year-long community portrait project called Portraits from Havre De Grace followed by a solo exhibition on March 16, 2019, April 29, 2019, at Artists Emporium 220 N Washington Street Havre De Grace, MD. Current projects: Epic Eyes is open and free for anyone to submit photos of their eyes to be painted on 4x8 panels.  Pamela is currently represented by, Artist Emporium 220 Washington Street Havre De Grace, Maryland 21078. Artist's Statement

Pamela Wilde graduated from the American Academy of Art, Chicago 83’ with a degree in Advertising Design and Illustration. Pamela works from direct observation both Plein air and figuratively. She most recently completed a year-long community portrait project called Portraits from Havre de Grace and has portrayed 120 individuals from various ethnic, ages, and social backgrounds. This exhibition is scheduled March 16, 2019 - April 30, 2019 at Artists Emporium 220 N. Washington Street Havre de Grace, MD. 21078
