About the Artist
I enjoy all kinds of portrait art, with specific experience in oil and acrylic painted portraits, as well as graphite or pen sketch portraits. I've done a variety of gift portrait work, whether personal/familial gifts or business gifts following conferences. I have worked from live modeling as well as photographs. It's always been a wonderful experience working with the person commissioning the portrait to best portray the subject of a painting, incorporating jewelry/memorabilia/etc. as asked.
My personal work tends to revolve around identity and exploring how external perspectives influences/deteriorates/builds identity. As a part of this, I've explored activism and human rights movements, as well as my own multicultural background.
