About the Artist
Renee Green has had a diverse career encompassing both finance and creative pursuits. After graduating with a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland, she worked in the banking industry before transitioning to becoming a Financial Advisor in 1997. In 2007, she pursued her passion for writing and film, enrolling in programs at St. John's College and Arlington Independent Media. Her passion for storytelling and financial literacy led her to create the Money Concepts for Life video program to educate others about personal finance.
Renee founded Renee Green Productions in 2014 to merge her interests into a single business venture. Through this production company, she has written, produced, filmed, and edited several award-winning documentaries. Her goal is to shed light on local memorials, monuments, and
events that may not receive the recognition they deserve.
Renee Green Productions has achieved multiple film festival awards and nominations for works such as " The Coal Women,"The Fatal Flight Buzz One Four," "We Lead by Example," and "Save The Peace Cross." Renee Green played a pivotal role in saving the Bladensburg WWI
Memorial Peace Cross by securing its listing on the National Register of Historic Places and producing a documentary about it. The "Save The Peace Cross" documentary significantly influenced the June 20, 2019, Supreme Court ruling in the case of AHA vs. MNCPPC and
American Legion.
Renee has written numerous life stories, inspiring her to turn them into feature film scripts and/or a TV series. In 2024, her team completed their first feature award-winning script Granny Has A Gambling Problem. She completed her first film Extra Blessings in August 2024. Her unique
combination of financial knowledge and creative talents has allowed her to make a positive impact in both the financial and film industry.
