About the Artist

Resumed painting again in 2019 after decades working as a journalist and musician. I paint in the folk art style and have exhibited at many events in Md & Va. My work has been selected for five juried shows at Ann Marie Garden Art Center in Solomons, Md. I formed The Grim Pickers bluegrass band in 1975 which played often in Md, DC and Va including performances at the Birchmere, Red Fox and King of France Tavern. As a journalist, I worked for several major companies as a writer/editor. My freelance articles have appeared in The Washington Post, Chesapeake Bay Magazine, Bay Weekly, Unicorn Times, Maine Antique Digest, Antique Week and others (Frets, Pickin, Virginia, Native Peoples and Montana magazines). I'm a Frostburg College grad and U.S. Army vet.
