Stephanie Safiyatou Edwards, a proud Baltimore native, is a multi-disciplinary artist with over three decades in cosmetology, transforming hair into art that celebrates individuality. As the Founder of BaltimoreGirls and Executive Producer of the documentary "BaltimoreGirls", she empowers women and girls of color through storytelling and creative expression. Her Afro-futuristic vision has shaped Baltimore's art scene with performances at Artscape and Light City Baltimore, and collaborations like The Mother ship Connection. Safiyatou's work, from sculptural hairstyles to large-scale installations, celebrates culture, identity, and community, making her a true catalyst for change and inspiration.
