About the Artist
Sally Wern Comport is an award-winning illustrator, designer, public artist, and Principal owner of Art at Large, Inc., a design firm specializing in large-scale artistic visual solutions for interior and exterior spaces based in the Annapolis Arts District. She is best known for her hand-painted murals as part of the Top of the Rock Experience at Rockefeller Center, the children's picture book Ada's Violin about the recycled orchestra of Paraguay, and her countless historical museum exhibitions for clients such as George Washington's Mount Vernon, Winterthur Museum, and Maryland Center for History & Culture. Sally is co-founder of the public art non-profit ArtWalk, and among many public art installations, has created two public artworks that span the 6-story facades of Brightview West End and Brightview Woodmont in Montgomery County.
