About the Artist

SARAH TREVISAN Lives & works in Bethesda, MD Sarah has been creating art since childhood. She has exhibited work in many different venues and craft shows.  She paints functional art such as hand painted pepper mills, tissue box covers, gift boxes and small canvases. Her work expanded to include children’s hair accessories like painted hairbrushes and headbands. Skilled in a wide variety of media, Sarah enjoys acrylic paint, pen and ink, colored pencil, and markers. She enjoys all art making, whether painting her products or a new canvas. She also sells greeting cards printed with her original artwork, and has two self-published coloring books available. Art making is Sarah's true passion, and she enjoys being active in the community by exhibiting and selling her work.

This is a picture of my booth display at the Olney Farmers and Artists Market. It includes many of my painted crafts such as hand painted lighthouse themed pepper grinders, mini canvas paintings, tissue box covers, painted hairbrushes, handmade headbands, and more.
Lighthouse themed pepper mills and salt and pepper sets. Inspired by the lighthouses of the Outer Banks, North Carolina, I replicated several as tall pepper grinders or smaller salt and pepper sets. Unique and special functional art!! A striking conversation piece. Something unlike anything else. Fully functional and designed to last a lifetime. Set the grinder however coarse or fine you prefer and it holds that grind. Painted with multiple layers of the finest Liquitex acrylic paint and sealed with a water-based polyurethane varnish.
This set is painted in the likeness of two popular lighthouses, Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. My new “universal” salt and pepper mills have a ceramic grinding mechanism that is suitable for coarse salt and pepper corns. I offer four different lighthouse designs, so you can mix and match any two to make a set.
Fun, unique and whimsical hand painted hairbrushes! A small but beautiful hairbrush to use daily and carry in your purse! Perfect for small children. My hand painted hairbrushes make it fun for kids to brush their hair regularly!
My greeting cards are printed with a selection of past artwork, 12 different pieces from paint to pastel, realistic to abstract. All cards are blank inside, include and envelope, and are individually packaged. Mindful Moments Gratitude Journal is an outlet for reflection with writing prompts about gratitude. Mindful Moments Mystical Mandalas is a calming practice with all mandala themed drawings.
