Artist's Statement

My practice centers on contemporary wood sculpture, social practice, and narrative art. I work primarily with reclaimed and raw wood, using chainsaws and hand tools to carve character-based forms that invite interaction rather than passive viewing. A significant part of my work involves community painting experiences, where participants help complete a sculpture through guided, collaborative engagement. These projects often culminate in permanent installations within libraries and other public spaces, emphasizing accessibility, imagination, and collective authorship. Through this approach, my work explores how storytelling, craft, and participation can foster connection and shared ownership of public art.
