I like to mix it up. As an active outdoorsman, I often find myself rendering the different moods of nature. I'll do studio landscapes for a while, then do plein air pieces. I do lots of commissioned people and pet portraits during the holidays, and then I'll do humorous paintings too. I embrace a challenge, and enjoy encountering, and overcoming the obsticles of rendering a scene or setting, to my satisfaction. From my perspective, life's not boring, and neither should be my paintings.
About the Artist
I am a self-taught Maryland artist. Although I dabbled in painting and printmaking, I didn't pursue art seriously until I retired from my full-time job in May of 2021. I work with acrylics to create studio and plein aire landscapes, and portraits of people and animals. Plus I'll throw in a bit of humor as well.Featured Work
