Shawn McPartland

Painting, Visual / Media

Art must evoke an emotional response, good or bad, but a natural response.  Without a natural response, or a response to the nature of the work, its meaningless, and requires further evolution until the organic nature of the painting becomes evident.  At that point the painting comes to life, a life of meaning, different for every viewer, but meaning – and purpose.
