About the Artist

Stacey Cruise has co-founded and administered four academically successful and richly diverse, Kindergarten-twelfth grade public charter schools  for 3000+ students in Philadelphia. Additionally, Stacey co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer for American Paradigm Schools, a nonprofit educational management organization. Since 2014, she has been the founder and principal consultant for  Legacy School Services, Inc., a school improvement consulting firm.    Stacey has worked simultaneously with four separate Boards of Trustees from her work with charter schools and nonprofits. She is a Board member of Africa Development Promise, Inc.,  Sister Cities GirlChoir, Inc., and the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Community Bridge Builders.   Stacey is an experienced workshop and Professional Learning facilitator, keynote presenter, and TEDx speaker. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of University Women.    Stacey enjoys working with graphite, charcoal, pastel, acrylic paint, clay, and collage. She has won a Creativity Grant and displayed her collage work via the Maryland State Arts Council.   Stacey graduated from Spelman College and earned a Master’s in education from Arcadia University. She recently retired after 40 fabulous years in education.
