About the Artist

Hello! My name is Star and I’m 36 years old. I’m a wife & mother. I love fashion, style & creating. My style is eccentric, classic, vintage & fairytale inspired. I love color, ruffles, bows, sequins, mixing patterns and timeless looks. I love designing for myself and repurposing old looks and giving them a new life. For 2 years I worked as a lead designer for my previous brand “Once Upon A Time Boutique.” I have over 20 years of sewing experience . In my prior experience I worked as designer assistant for Tamae Ishii NYC & Joy Houston Bridal. I’ve worked for a fashion show production company and backstage at NYFW. I have a fashion stylist certificate and dress making & design certificate. Star Lashelle is my designer name and Eccentric Vintage is a fashion brand that offers style services, fashion content creation, and exclusive fashion collections.

Artist's Statement

Sustainability: Star Lashelle believes sustainable fashion is important for us as consumers. Being able to repurpose, rewear and recycle the clothes we wear not only helps the world but it pushes our creativity. Star Lashelle is a made to order brand. We do have some items that are ready to ship but we are mindful of how much we offer. We do not believe in overconsumption. We believe in loving every piece in our closet. We try to source dead stock fabric, local fabric & notions. We repurpose old clothes and give them a new life. We also design & create new clothing seasonally. Goals: To grow as a fashion creator, stylist & designer and build the wardrobe of my dreams. Teach and collaborate with other fashion enthusiasts by sharing and teaching my passion of sewing & design.
