About the Artist
Tamila has a combination of formal and practical experience as an artist. As a resident of beautiful Southern Maryland, she finds inspiration from many sources, each uniquely influencing her creative process: Chesapeake Bay, farmlands, nature, personal experiences, travel, and music, to list a few. Originally from Tbilisi, Georgia (country), Tamila developed techniques through art classes and continuous practice. Key elements that define Tamila as an artist are dedication, a unique creative vision, and a continuous pursuit of growth and expression in her artwork. Tamila enjoys painting in oil and acrylic mediums and considers herself an impressionist artist. Her artwork comes to life using expressive, bold brush strokes and palette knife techniques that focus on the effects of color and light. Tamila is a member of the Calvert Arts Council. In 2024, Tamila was commissioned to design the ArtsFest'24 logo for Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center, in which she expressed the spirit of Maryland.Featured Work
