About the Artist

I study photographic art through workshops, books, the internet, and a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. My work has been displayed throughout the Mid-Shore Region in local venues, websites, and galleries: Cottage Studio & Gallery, Easton’s Promise, Academy Art Museum, Talbot County Free Library both in Easton and St Michaels, Chesapeake Community College, Kiln Born, Kent County Library Chestertown, Photographic Society of America, and Easton Gallery of Photographic Arts. Currently, you can see Ted’s work in Simpatico, Dorchester Center for the Arts, and Candleberry Gallery. I have been an event photographer for the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy, Event Giving, Frederick Douglass Honor Society, Habitat Choptank, Talbot County Office of Tourism, What’s Up Magazine, Choral Arts Society, and the Avalon Foundation. I'm a member of the Photographic Society of America, Maryland Federation of Arts, Tidewater Camera Club, Wednesday Morning Artists, and the Friday Morning Artists.

Artist's Statement

Photography to me is both a creative process and a technical process. He prefers photographic art over photojournalism, so many of his images are digitally enhanced. I’m happiest when a person is in my camera viewfinder. I enjoys adding a creative flair to his images and he frequently adds textures, blur, or creates composite images for the final products. My style of photography allows him to be creative, to be whimsical and create an image that is more than reality. I prints his photos using high quality pigment inks and archival paper to produce exceptional, museum-quality works
