About the Artist
Timothy Nohe is a tenured Professor of Visual Arts at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). With a career spanning multimedia art, academia, and leadership, he has made significant contributions to the fields of visual arts, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has exhibited and performed his work in renowned institutions across Europe, Australia, and the United States. His artistic and compositional contributions have enriched civic life and public spaces from The Walters Art Museum to the Kennedy Center. Throughout his career, Nohe's work has received widespread support, including multiple Maryland State Arts Council Awards and a Creative Baltimore Award. He also was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts and William G. Baker Fund's "Our Town Project - Creative Placemaking" grant to support My Station North, co-created with elementary school children. Nohe has also established significant transnational connections, particularly with Australia, where he served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar.
