About the Artist

Vic Gladstone received a B.S. in SPA and M.S. in Audiology from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Audiology from the University of Maryland. He practiced audiology at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, directed the Audiology Clinic at Towson University, and was Chief Staff Officer for Audiology at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Throughout his 40+ year audiology career, Dr. Gladstone engaged in photography. He is a self-educated and self-taught photographer whose early work was 35mm black and white, chrome, and color imagery. His black and white photos were processed and printed in his darkroom. He migrated to digital photography and now exclusively shoots, processes, mattes, and frames his digital images. Gladstone’s photography includes landscape, still life, portrait, and sports and has been exhibited at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, the RiverArts Gallery in Chestertown, MD, the Delaplaine Visual Arts & Education Center, Frederick Camera Clique, Howard County Visitor's Center, and the Howard County Conservancy and has been selected for the RiverArts Gallery Art in the Park (2013), the 2013-2020 Howard County Holiday Marts, and 2014 & 2015 Sykesville Holiday Marketplace. Gladstone's images have won First Place, Second Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention in the Howard County Conservancy's "The Art of Stewardship"; Maryland Photographer's Alliance; Bauhaus Gallery; and Bowie Arts Committee juried exhibits.

Artist's Statement

I love the creativity and expression in photography. It is my hope that my images will enable others to enjoy the beauty of the world through my photographs.
