About the Artist

Wednesday Kim is a Korean-born interdisciplinary artist working across video, print, sculpture, installation, and digital ritual. Her work explores trauma, motherhood, and memory through the lens of digital hauntology—where forgotten search data, screenshots, and erased histories return as emotional residue. Drawing from Korean folklore and internet subculture, she reimagines the Dokkaebi as a glitch-born spirit emerging from data remnants and e-waste.  Wednesday Kim is an interdisciplinary artist and co-founder of De:Formal Online. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she is currently based in Maryland, USA. Her work explores themes of childhood trauma, mental health, and motherhood, highlighting how these experiences intersect with strict social order, patriarchy, competitive capitalism, and commodity culture in both online and offline life.
