About the Artist
Growing up, I always wanted to be an Architectural Engineer. However, after my freshman year in college, my life changed course. I joined the Air Force in 1971, got married in 1972 and devoted myself to raising a family. I made my first and only wire art piece in 1972 for my father's 50th birthday where it hung for many years in his den until his death. Afterwards, it was created up and stored, but I received it back in 2024. My partner saw it, and she has encouraged me to start again. So, after I retired in February of 2025, I began again and Wire Works became a reality.Featured Work

Catching the Trade Winds
Wire Art
2025
I have always admired the sailing ships of yesterday. Just imagine, you're standing on the deck as your ship gently cuts through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The ship has a lazy roll as it slices through the water, the warm wind whines through the rigging above and the sails fill to their fullest, staining against the lines. You see an island on the horizon as you anticipate what may lay ahead in your journey. But, alas, I can always dream.
