About this Organization
Adkins Arboretum is a 400 acre native plant preserve on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Adkins' gallery space hosts visual and fine art exhibits year–round featuring work by regional artists, including a juried show. Rotating outdoor sculpture exhibits are installed on the Arboretum trails every Summer.
Events like Forest Music and Beer Garden feature live music, while Yarnstorming and Plein Air Adkins provide opportunities for artists to create in nature.
Adkins Arboretum also offers a Botanical Art Program. This series of classes is designed to give students the necessary skills and techniques to enjoy creating botanical art. Students who complete the program will earn a Certificate of Competency in Botanical Art.
