Annaoplis Watercolor Club

About this Organization

The Annapolis Watercolor Club was founded in 1975 by a small group of artists under the leadership of Joanne Scott as a non-profit educational organization. The mission of the AWC is to encourage the art of watercolor painting through the education of artists. We endeavor to support and encourage the larger art community. As creative people, we have found innovative ways to share the gift of imagination. Our members are also interested in art history, art appreciation, and travel. So, it is our intent to share these opportunities with others. We also know that giving to others is important, so we seek to gift to local charitable organizations.
