CPC seeks to present the finest choral literature in concerts of high artistic quality and to provide enriching musical experiences for both singers and audiences, through the quality of its performances and through the creativity and diversity of its programming choices.
About this Organization
Columbia Pro Cantare (CPC) is a nationally recognized chorus of 100 auditioned volunteer singers founded in February 1977 by Frances Motyca Dawson and based in Howard County. It performs 5 concerts per season, and reaches audiences in the entire Central Maryland area and beyond. Its soloists range from local talent just beginning their careers, many of the graduates of Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, to world-renown artists who regularly perform with the MET in NYC. As often as possible, CPC utilizes the talents of middle and high school choruses in Howard County.Featured Work
