About this Organization
Creative Impulse is a non-profit organization, initially started at Bowie State University as a dance team. Tahirah formed the dance company in 2004 while in college and registered it as a business in 2008. The company continued to grow and developed into a competition team, traveled throughout the DMV and tristate area. The team won many awards and scholarships for young dancers. We operate exclusively for dance and fitness education, training and competition. At times, we provide internships, volunteer and employment opportunities in said activities and programs. These opportunities promote and encourage art education as well as the importance of physical health.
