Services/Opportunities

I have works with hundreds of writers and artists to enhance their creative lives and reach their creative goals. As your coach, we work together to support your creative process, as well as address issues like procrastination, writer's block, building a business, or sustaining a creative practice. As part of the process you’ll work through fun, creative exercises that generate potent insights and help you discover new options. You'll learn how to stay motivated as you build muscles for lasting, sustainable change. I keep you focused on what matters to you, kick your butt a bit when needed (but with love in my heart!), and cheer you on all along the way.

I bring my deep intuition, generous listening, and direct approach to help you gain greater confidence and clarity to achieve lasting results.

* Bi-monthly, 45-minute sessions or weekly 30-minute sessions

* Exploratory, goal-oriented conversations

* Practical and creative exercises, fun experiments, evidence-based learning

* Between-session support to help keep you on track

Coaching packages begin with a 3-month commitment, during which you'll discover insights that help new behaviors take root. Most clients, however, begin to see real progress and make lasting change after 6-9 months of investment.

I offer professional feedback and practical advice for writers of prose, creative non-fiction, personal essays, and poetry. I also offer support with narrative and budgets for grant applications.

I really enjoy providing one-on-one support to individuals of all writing levels. We focus on your draft stage
Always, my feedback aims to be insightful and practical, providing concrete ideas for revision and suggesting further readings to expand and deepen your knowledge and skills.

Having worked for independent publishers and serving as poetry editor at a major literary magazine, I understand how to best present your work to editors to help increase your chances of being published. Together, we will refine and publish your work, and create simple tracking systems to grow your creative business. I worked for 25 years as a grant writer for nonprofits, and can help you write winning artist grants, project grants, and fellowship applications.
