About this Organization
The Kids In Showbiz / RISE Media Business and Technical Training School was created for the purpose of providing a world-class education as a non-profit community-based training school serving the people of the Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and inner-city Baltimore Maryland areas. Our primary focus is to inspire hope, build character and empower today’s youth and young adults to make a positive change within themselves while also gaining control of their future by providing them with an extensive “hands-on” approach in the instruction of Television and Film Production, TV and Film Editing & Post Production, Recording Studio Audio Engineering, Live Event Audio Engineering, Audio/Video over Internet Protocol (AVoIP) Technology and Office and Business Administration skills. Our Kids In Showbiz Workshops provide On Camera Acting, Dance, and Recording Studio / Music & Song instruction for up and coming child actors, singers, and dancers ages 6 to 12.
Audio, Video, and Computer Technology drives 80% of today's media including television, video on demand, streaming television, mobile media, the internet, and all social media platforms. Our goal is to instill strong employment skills, create a professional work ethic, develop friendships and inspire our students to leave our program having total confidence in themselves being able to obtain a successful career in the Audio, Video, AV-IT or Office Administration field -- anywhere in the world!
