About this Organization

She has been in ministry for approximately 40 plus years. She was elevated in 2018, 2015, & ordained in 2010. As she continues to pursue lifelong learning, stewarding her God given Apostolic ministry, ReCreations Ministries, her gifting's, & inspirational authorship as a story catcher. She further served 10 years as a Pastoral/Spiritual Care Hospital Chaplain which included 3 years at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. (2016-2019) where she graduated (2019) with her 3rd Clinical Pastoral Care Education (CPE) unit. She earned the name, "the singing chaplain," at Georgetown of which she loved using comforting songs as prayers for patients. She began her 1st 3 years of hospital chaplaincy at the Charles Regional Medical Center in LaPlata, MD.  Her monthly blogs were from (2020-2023) & “The Diary of a Hospital Chaplain,” which will be her 4th book launch in 2026.         Her lifelong scholarly interest & passion are spiritual wellness foci: purpose/meaning in life, beliefs, and connectedness to each other, and this world. She has taught 30 years in academia and worked in the health, fitness, and wellness industry for forty plus years. Currently, she is semi-retired and is still an Associate Adjunct Professor at University of Maryland Global Campus teaching 1st Year Experience/Academic Success in Student Affairs virtually. During her Morgan tenure, she also served as an Assistant Campus Chaplain, the Liturgical Dance Advisor, & sung in the Morgan State Choir 4 ½ years. Her previous singing groups have included singing & traveling with the Baltimore Symphony for 3 years. And with the National Philharmonic for 2 Summers (2015 & 2016). She is currently working on the production and release of her original song, BROKEN for YOU! (Copywritten: 12/2024) in 2025.
