About this Organization
St. Maries Choral Arts has three choruses: St. Maries Musica (an auditioned group of about 24), St. Maries Chorale (an un- auditioned community chorus of about 24), and a Children's Chorus whose numbers vary from 12 to 16.
There are two SMCA seasons within a year:
a. The Fall Season is from late August until Mid-December.
b. The Spring Season is from early January to Late May/early June.
• The Fall Season, which is also considered the Christmas Season historically consists of anywhere from 11-12 concerts for St. Maries Musica plus 1 joint (St. Maries Musica, St. Maries Chorale, and Children's Chorus) concert at the end of the season.
• The Spring Season historically consists of anywhere from 5-6 concerts for St. Maries Musica plus 1 joint concert at the end of the season
• Rehearsals for both seasons are held every Monday evening from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
St. Maries Musica performs 11 to 12 concerts in the Christmas/Fall season and 5 to 6
