The Wilds Writer's Studio

About this Organization

The Wilds Writer's Studio is a teen-focused workshop and development organization that brings working writers together with young writers to support their growth, help them develop their craft, and provide personal examples of how writing can work into professional life. Students can take workshops, join small groups, and work one-on-one with those working within the industry to find their unique voice.

Services/Opportunities

Workshops available in Short Story, Poetry, and Open Form. Summer programs are now available for registration at www.thewildsstudio.com for teens, ages 14-18 or currently enrolled in high school or homeschool equivalent.

Small writing group support is capped at 3 students at similar points in their writing journey with similar goals. Small groups are a great way to take a deeper dive into writing craft, whether it is in short story, poetry, or creative non-fiction.

One-on-one support connects young writers with a working professional to target specific goals and projects. Students who want help getting started on a new manuscript, editing and revising an existing project, or developing specific craft skills can benefit from this personalized instruction.

Individual tutoring is also available to work on and meet academic goals in the areas of English/Language Arts, Composition, Literature, and Communication. Academic tutoring also incorporates Executive Functioning skills that can be applied to learning goals across all disciplines.
